Drink Driver, Cardwell: A 27-year-old Southport woman was charged with drink driving on Wednesday evening.

Police intercepted the woman on the Bruce Highway, Cardwell around 7pm last night, for a roadside breath test.

As a result of the test police will allege the driver returned a reading 0.147 per cent BAC.Her licence was suspended and she is scheduled to appear at the Tully Magistrates Court on April 27.

Weapon Charges, Innisfail: Innisfail police intercepted a vehicle on Aluart street, Innisfail Estate around 3:30am on Monday morning for a traffic matter.

While speaking with the 31-year-old Bay View Heights man, police conducted a search of the vehicle.

As a result of the search police located a number plate not registered to the vehicle, a shortened rifle a knife and some ammunition.He was charged with ten offences including one count each of unlawful possession of a weapon, carry weapon in public place whilst loaded, received tainted property, unlawful possession of suspected stolen property and possession of a knife in a public place.He has been remanded in custody to appear at the Innisfail Magistrates Court on April 18.

Speeding offence, Boogan: A 53-year-old Atherton man was issued with a $406 traffic infringement notice on Sunday afternoon.

Police will allege the detected the driver travelling at 108km/h in an 80km/h zone around 2pm.

Three men charged with trespassing: Three Innisfail men aged 45, 43 and 35-years-old were charged with trespassing on Tuesday morning.

Police attended the Fitzgerald Esplanade premises after the three men were located sleeping in two rooms at the address around 4am.

It will be alleged the men did not have permission to be at the premises and the three will appear at the Innisfail Magistrates Court on May 15.
